Catch-up on Last Issue
As if on cue, Jane Foster steps out of the Rainbow Bridge to lend medical assistance to Lady Thor. Catch-up with our full review of The Mighty Thor #10.
In This Issue of The Mighty Thor #11
All the elements are in action with this issue of The Mighty Thor #11. SHIELD is fighting with Roxxon’s hulked out berserkers. Dario Agger is free of his shackles and stalking Ms. Midas, the Exterminatrix. Lady Thor is turning into a gold statue. Somehow Jane Foster is doing surgery on Thor. All of this as Roxxon’s flying island is about to plummet to Earth.
What Else Happens in this Comic?
This one has been building since issue 1 of The Mighty Thor. What’s going on with Mjolnir? The hammer has been doing things for Jane that it never did for Thor Odinson. We get the taste of the answer to this plot thread this issue.
The Comic's Themes
Secrets, lies, and the truth has been the theme for the last few issues. If Dario Agger had told the One Percent the truth about his ambitions, would Roxxon have been ripe for the attack by Midas and Samurai? Jane understands the importance of relationships and how a solid relationship starts with the truth. The SHIELD agents are searching for the truth about Lady Thor’s identity (but Mjolnir happy to keep them in the dark).

How's The Mighty Thor #11's Writing?
The Dialogue
As you are reading, pay extra attention to Jane’s dialogue. Before the end of the issue, Jason Aaron gives us many clues as to how Jane and Lady Thor are both present at the fight with Roxxon.
Showing Versus Telling
We have another issue of the Mighty Thor jammed with cover to cover action. It’s all showing as we move through the final battle. To my enjoyment, Silver Samurai has several strong scenes against Shield showing us the value of his armor.
The Vibe
Mighty Thor #11 is absolutely an MCU movie in paper format. The plot and action flow just like a Marvel movie. The humor beats would fit into the Loki television show.
Comic Art Review
There’s a scene where the Roxxon floating island starts to fall. All of the characters who can’t fly are affected by the changes in altitude. Their facial expressions as they realize that the island is going to crash is priceless. Who thought a minotaur’s face could say so much with no word balloons. Poor Jane has become so thin. Cancer appears to be winning the battle. Jane’s eyes are so tired the entire issue.
One scene that is sure to grab your attention is Mjolnir and Jane flying to stop the island’s fall. The perspective views, overlaying panels, and sound effects come together to make one of the coolest pages we’ve seen so far in The Mighty Thor.
On the Cover
Cover A by Russell Dauterman illustrates our biggest dilemma this issue. How are Jane and Lady Thor together? Cover B is by Pasqual Ferry, a long-time and brilliant Thor artist in his own right. Cover C is Iron Fist by Mike McKone. It’s looks like classic Marvel comics, but I’m not sure why it’s on The Mighty Thor. Was Thor Odinson ever on the Defenders?
The Comic Panel by Panel
The specials effects team of Matt Wilson and Joe Sabino have so many amazing things to do in The Mighty Thor #11. We see lightning, thunder explosions, rainbow magic, melting gold, flying hammers, and armor blasts.
World Building
Everything in this issue happens on Midgard or in near Midgard space.

Who Will Like The Mighty Thor #11?
If you have been enjoying Lady Thor and wondering about the secrets of Mjolnir, you have to pick up this issue. It’s the lead-in to next issue where we learn the secret history of Thor’s hammer. Mjolnir performs magic we’ve never scene before and it sets up storylines that are still playing out in Thor years later.

You can see more Pasqual Ferry Thor art on Twitter at @PasqualFerry. Thor: The World Eaters from 2011 is a solid read with crazy-good artwork. It is highly recommended.
Mike McKone shares his artwork on Instagram. The profiles including our favorite Enchantress are just wow.
Should You Buy This Comic Book?
Buy it. It has all kinds of great action and adventure. Lady Thor let's loose. Agent Solomon learns a secret. Mjolnir does the impossible.
